Ford has produced the loved talking car from the 80’s, KIT. Well maybe not the actual KIT we all know and love but the new Ford Focus (that we all know and love) will be able to accept verbal commands come 2012.Ford has produced an updated version of the Sync car communication system. the system allows drivers to verbally command communication outputs, satnav and audio systems. The clever system can read out your text messages and even alter the temperature of the car, all without you taking your eyes off the road.
Coming to the UK in 2012, the system is still robotic sounding but that is where its junior attributes end. The system is capable of understanding 10,000 different commands in 19 selected languages. Ford even argues that the new system will be able to extract commands from regional accents too.
Ford dealerships across the UK are excited for the launch of this ‘safety’ feature. Contact Lifestyle Europe, a Ford Kent and Sussex dealer for more information.
