New Suzuki Kizashi is making its way to the UK

new Suzuki KizashiSuzuki has announced that the stunning new Kizashi saloon will go on sale in the UK towards the end of the year. The manufacturer has been reluctant to present the model to UK motorists before as the vehicle is only available in a 2.4 litre petrol engine. Kizashi means ‘A sign of great things to come’ in Japanese and I'm sure Suzuki hope that the name/meaning will prevail.

I wonder how the UK will react to having such a limited choice and no diesel options available. I believe Suzuki are taking a huge risk with this one as economical/green driving has never been more prominent. Perhaps that highlights Suzuki's reasoning for producing just 500 models per year in the UK. The model was launched in the USA and Japan last year in two driving formats however Suzuki will only be offering the four wheel drive to UK motorists.

The petrol powered family car is a completely new design and is the first Suzuki D-segement model to enter the UK market.
