Another beautiful concept is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Alfa Romeo 4C is much smaller than expected by the motoring press. The production model hopes to be released at the beginning of 2012, I am hoping that it will be at my local car dealer in Kent. The new Alfa Romeo 4C is described to much smaller and lighter than a Ford Focus. The wheelbase is a tiny 2.4m and the vehicle weighs less than 850g. Surely this stunner will be great on the fuel economy with stats like that.
With a lick of dusty red matte paint the new 4C glistens on the Alfa Romeo stage. It is rumoured that the chassis will be made out of new carbon fibre materials.
For those speed freaks out there the new Alfa Romeo 4C accelerates from rest to 62MPH in a remarkable 5 seconds. The concept has been reported to be capable of reaching top speeds of 155MPH. Not surprising that the coupe can produce these results when you consider the direct-injected turbo four-cylinder engine. This could possibly explain the 4C name.
Here’s to hoping they will sell these cars in Maidstone or something similar at my local car dealer in Ashford. Rumours have suggested that the model will be priced around €40,000 but nothing officially announced as of yet.
