Government initiatives are looking towards lowering CO2 emissions on the roads considerably by 2017. To avoid the tax rises three new Volvo DRIVe models plan to help motorists.
At the moment current legislation the lowest Benefit in Kind tax band is offered to vehicles emitting less than 120g/km. The legislation starting in the Spring of 2012 however, will see this cut to 99g/km. The Volvo DRIVe models consist of the new C30, S40 and V50 vehicles. They will also be free from London congestion charges.
