Toyota and Microsoft make a great team

I have recently heard that Toyota have announced a partnership with Microsoft. They are set to invest heavily in the new Toyota Media Service. I hope my local car dealership in Newcastle will be able to demonstrate the new system to me when it is released.

Microsoft will base the new service on their Windows Azure Operating System. The system will enjoy innovative technologies to improve driveability and safety. Touch screen and voice activation capabilities allow drivers to access entertain and communication systems with little distraction.

The new system will look after their hybrid and electric models as it will be able to manage energy usage of the battery. Toyota have announced that the system will be rolled out with their 2012 electric and hybrid models before globally releasing the service with a variety of Toyota ranges by 2015.
