The US online campaign for the new Ford Focus is set to be making its way to the UK with a few British tweaks. The campaign features an outspoken puppet called Doug who discusses the benefits of ne 2012 Focus with the driver.
‘Doug the Ford spokespuppet’ has been used to develop amusing online videos to attract us to the new Ford Focus model. Presented like a mock-documentary ‘Doug’ does manage to educate watchers with some interesting facts.
Ford have been uploading these videos for the past month. I noticed them through YouTube but apparently they’ve been advertised through their Twitter and Facebook pages. The first video attracted over 1million views globally across the social media sites collectively.
