New Mazda is named CX-5

The new Mazda crossover has been named the CX-5. Mazda has definitely made us wait a while since the Minagi concept made its debut at the Geneva Motor show 2011.

Mazda have taken their new Minagi concept and their new Kodo, soul of motion philosophy and produced the new Mazda CX-5. This will be the first production model to possess both of these qualities, alongside their latest SkyActive technologies to improve fuel consumption.

I think we are going to be teased with ideas at the New York Auto Show this weekend with official international launch pencilled in for the Frankfurt Auto Show in September 2011.
