British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards 2011

Searching for a car is like the worst thing ever, as all the cars seem great at first but once you test drive it, u started hearing funny noises coming from the engine and that’s when you realise it’s a horrible car.

While searching on the internet for used cars in Suffolk, I came across an article about Volvo being awarded twice at the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards 2011. The Volvo C30 wins the Best Small Family Car category, whilst Volvo Cars was awarded Thatcham's International Vehicle Security Award, at event which is held at the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre in Thatcham.

The Volvo C30 features a number of standard security features, including remote central locking with deadlocks, an anti-theft alarm and immobiliser, a level sensor and optional laminated side windows for extra security.

Volvo also announced an evolved version of its Volvo On Call, a mobile application for iPhone and Android mobile phones, which can be equipped on model year 12 vehicles, and provides the owner with the option to remotely check the status of the door locks and windows. The system will automatically send an alert if the alarm is triggered.

Martin Bayntun, Media Relations Manager at Volvo Car UK. "It gives me great pleasure to receive this award. It is in recognition of Volvo's continuing commitment to ensuring that not only are our customers safe while being in our vehicles, they are safe in the knowledge that their car is secure when out of sight."
