The new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer was unveiled in Germany at the Frankfurt Motor Show recently. Vauxhall have also revealed that the new MPV will be priced from £21,000. Sadly UK sales will not start until next year but Vauxhall dealers in Loughborough cannot wait to display the new model in their showroom.
This model is going to be a great contender with the aggressive price strategy that Vauxhall looks set to embark on. The £21,000 price tag is for the entry level 1.8 ES Vauxhall Zafira Tourer and is sure to rival competitors in the same class.
Vauxhalls new seven seater is 190mm longer than the original Zafira which makes the cabin even more comfortable for passengers. For those that would be worried about manoeuvring a slightly bigger MPV then there is no need to worry as Vauxhall is offering a variety of driving aids to make life easier. These include lane departure warning, cruise control, blind spot alert and a parking aid that guides motorists into suitable spaces.
The new Zafira Tourer will be available with a choice of engines and trims. The ES trim will be positioned as the entry level model then the Exclusiv, Sri, SE and Elite versions will be available above those.
Engines are going to include 1.8 litre petrol and 1.4 litre turbocharged engine each delivering 138 bhp. The new Zafira Tourer will also be available with a 2.0 litre diesel engine producing 109bhp, 128bhp and 163bhp.
