New Toyota Prius+ Crossover
Everyone loves the Toyota Prius for its green credentials and excellent fuel economy and now Toyota will be officially unveiling their new Toyota Prius V in North America this autumn. I think the family is going to be called Toyota Prii.
The power train consists of a 1.8litre 2ZR-FXE engine with a 60kW traction motor with the obvious hybrid part of a 201V Ni-MH battery pack. This will make the new Prius V crossover powerful yet agile and any waste heat will be transferred to the engines coolant system.
The model will be known as the Prius + in Europe and the Prius A in Japan. Another difference for the Japanese and European market is the new Toyota Prius will be available with a third row of passenger seats.
I popped into Toyota dealer in Newcastle Hodgson to have a look at the original Toyota Prius in Newcastle and I think it fulfils my hybrid needs. They had a great range of new and used Toyota cars in Newcastle which kept me entertained for hours.
