New Volvo Connectivity App

I have only just noticed that Volvo is offering an intelligent connectivity system with all new Volvo cars from the model year 2012. The new system is in the form of a mobile app with which motorists will be able to access areas of their vehicle.

I am after a new Volvo V70 in Hereford complete with this new system, which is an extension of Volvo On Call. The application is free to download from iPhones and Android smartphones.

The connectivity possibilities via this new app are extremely impressive. The main feature of this app for many motorists will be the car locator. The Volvos location can be shown on a map complete with a digital compass to aid the search. The horn and indicators can also be accessed if needed.

For those moments when drivers think they may have forgotten to lock the car, the app displays the current status of the Volvos doors and windows. It then allows you to lock and unlock them via the app.

Vehicle information such as registration number and VIN number are stored on the app together with a driving journey of the last 40 days. These actions can be downloaded within the 40 day time frame and stored for later use.

Fuel levels, average speed, theft notification and health checks are among a number of other features and systems that the connectivity app can access and control. Looking forward to using the app and reviewing its full potential.
